Common Turfgrass Fertilisers - K to Z

KAYNITRO

Formulation: Water Soluble. (N) 17 (P) - (K) 17 plus iron & magnesium.
Uses : For rapid response to nitrogen with high potassium levels to toughen the grass.
General Application Rate : 500 grams - 1 KG per 100m. (7 - 15 Kg per Bowling Green).

LIME (SPRAYING)

Formulation: Nearly 100%, very fine ground lime (Calcium Carbonate) for use with water.
Uses : For rapid correction of low pH values and for calcium supply. Specially produced for application through fertispray systems.
General Application Rate : A total application of 22 Kg per 100m will raise the pH by one full unit. This is best applied at the rate of not more than 7 Kg per 100m per fortnight, ie. 100 Kg per Bowling Green per fortnight.

M.A.P. SOLUBLE

Formulation: Water soluble mono-ammonium Phosphate. (N) 12 (P) 26 (K).
Uses : A high grade water soluble crystalline fertiliser for promotion of root growth. More suitable than D.A.P. under alkaline conditions.
General Application Rate : 1 Kg in 90 Litres of water per 100m. (15 Kg in 1500 Litres of water per Bowling Green).

MICRO POTASH

Formulation: Water soluble Sulphate of Potash.
Uses : To correct potash deficiencies.
General Application Rate: 1 Kg in 90 Litres of water per 100m. May be mixed with top dressing at 1 Kg per 100m. ( 15 Kg per Bowling Green).

MONO POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE

Formulation: Water soluble Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate.
Uses : A high grade, water soluble crystalline material. Readily available phosphate and potassium make this fertiliser very useful for hydroponic use.
General Application Rate : Turf 250 grams in 80 Litres of water per 100m. (4 Kg in 1500 Litres of water per Bowling Green).

MULTIGRO General Purpose

Formulation: Dry Mix. (N) 10 (P) 4 (K) 5 plus Sulphur and Calcium.
Uses : A complete, general purpose NPK fertiliser suitable for all Turfgrasses in situations such as fairways, parks and ovals. Free flowing and easy to apply for most situations.
General Application Rate : 3 - 4 Kg per 100m.

MURIATE OF POTASH

Formulation: Water Soluble Potassium Chloride.
Uses : To correct potassium deficiencies in the soil.
General Application Rate : 1 KG in 100 Litres of water per 100m.

NEUTROG ORGANIC FERTILISER

Formulation: Dry Mix. Sterilised composted chicken manure incorporating zeolite. Pellets or fines.
Uses : Very useful for those who prefer to mix their own renovation fertiliser. High organic matter, excellent product for Horticultural uses.
General Application Rate : Turfgrasses 20 Kg per 100m with top dressing (300 Kg per Bowling Green). Vegetable and ornamental beds 20 Kg per 100m.

NITRAM

Formulation: Water Soluble. (N) 34 as Ammonium Nitrate.
Uses : A quick release nitrogen fertiliser for those who prefer to mix their own.
General Application Rate : 750 grams in 100 Litres of water per 100m.

NITROK

Formulation: Water Soluble Nitrate of Potash. (N) 13.6 (P) - (K) 38.5.
Uses : Turfgrasses - useful source of quick release nitrogen as well as potassium.
General Application Rate : 300 grams in 140 Litres of water per 100m. (5 Kg per Bowling Green). N.B. Rates may be doubled on Bent Greens.

SUMMERMIX

Formulation: Water Soluble. (N) 22 (P) 4 (K) 15.
Uses : A general purpose maintenance fertiliser suitable for all turf grasses during the high temperature growing period. Developed from 20 years of experience with soil testing for turf.
General Application Rate : 730 grams in 130 Litres of water per 100m. (10 Kg per Bowling Green).

SUPERPHOSPHATE - FINE

Formulation: Dry fertiliser. (N) - (P) 9.6 (K) -. A superfine powder.
Uses : Stimulates rapid establishment of newly planted turf by inducing root development.
General Application Rate : Renovation : 2kg per 100m. Growing period : 1kg per 100m.

SUPERPHOSPHATE

Formulation: Dry, granulated fertiliser for agricultural use.
Uses : Ornamentals, shrubs and broadacre application.
General Application Rate : 1-2 kg per 100m.

TRACEL

Formulation: Water soluble. A concentrated trace element supplement.
Uses : To overcome trace element deficiencies in turf, ornamentals, citrus trees and various other situations. Can also be applied on a regular basis as a prevention to trace element problems.
General Application Rate : 1 kg in 100 litres of water per 100m. (15 kg per Bowling Green).

TURFBOOSTER

Formulation: Dry granular. (N) 17 (P) 2 (K) 8.
Uses : Inexpensive fertiliser for regular use on fairways and ovals.
General Application Rate : 1.5 kg per 100m

TURFMAKER

Formulation: Water soluble. (N) 32 (P) 5 (K) 10.
Uses: For regular application throughout the growing season.
General Application Rate : 300grams in 100 litres of water per 100m. Apply every 3-4 weeks.

TURF RENNO MIX

Formulation: Dry fertiliser, either granules or fine. (N) 7 (P) 2.6 (K) 6.8.
Uses : An organic, slow release, complete fertiliser. For long term promotion and protection of turf. Top of the range for efficacy and ease of use.
General Application Rate : Turf renovation Qld Blue Couch and Bent : 6 kg per 100m. (90 kg per Bowling Green). Couch : 8 kg per 100m. (120 kg per Bowling Green).

TURF RENOVATION MIX

Formulation: Dry mix fertiliser with fungicide. 60 g/Kg Quintozene.
Uses : A balanced, organic based fertiliser containing Quintozene (CHLOROTURF) to protect new growth. This is a first class renovation fertiliser which incorporates a higher level of fungicide than can normally be applied by a routine spraying.
General Application Rate : Bent and Queensland Blue Couch - 6 Kg per 100 m. ( 90Kg per Bowling Green). Hybrid Couch - 8 Kg per 100m. (120 Kg per Bowling Green).

TURF RENOVATION MIX plus HYDROWET GRANULES

Formulation: Dry mix granular fertiliser with soil wetting agent.
Uses : A balanced, organic based fertiliser containing HYDROWET DG to act as slow release soil wetting agent.
General Application Rate : Bent and Queensland Blue Couch - 7 Kg per 100m (105 Kg per Bowling Green). Hybrid Couch - 9Kg per 100m(135 Kg per Bowling Green).

TURF STARTER

Formulation: Dry fertiliser. (N) 12 (P) 22 (K) -
Uses : Planting mixture for promotion of root growth.
General Application Rate : 700 grams per 100m.

UREA

Formulation: Soluble Nitrogen. (N) 46 (P) - (K) -
Uses: Nitrogenous fertiliser for rapid promotion of active growth.
General Application Rate : 60 grams in 700 Litres of water per 100m. (1 Kg per Bowling Green).

UREAFORM 38-0-0

Formulation: Dry Mix (N) 38 as slow release Ureaformaldehyde powder or chip.
Uses : Promotes leaf growth over a period of up to 8 months. Can be used in conjunction with other fertilisers for renovation or be used by itself on tees and fairways where rapid repair is important. Also suitable for use in potting mixes and around nitrogen loving ornamentals.
General Application Rate : Turfgrass : At renovation use 1.5 - 3 Kg per 100m. (24 - 48 Kg per Bowling Green). Greens , tees, and other turf areas use 1.5 Kg per 100m. (24 Kg per Bowling Green).

WINTERGRAN

Formulation: Dry Granular (N) 14.5 (P) 2 (K) 14.
Uses : For economic and easy application over winter to areas such as golf fairways and tees as well as parks and ovals. Keeps turfgrass healthy but minimises weed growth.
General Application Rate : 1.5 Kg per 100m.

WINTERMIX

Formulation: Water Soluble. (N) 21 (P) 2.5 (K) 23 plus iron.
Uses : A general purpose maintenance fertilizer suitable for all turfgrasses during the cooler months when a harder textured grass is desirable. It is also particularly useful for grasses requiring large amounts of potash.
General Application Rate : Vary according to prevailing temperatures. 21deg C - 360 grams in 200 Litres of water per 100m.

ZINC SULPHATE

Formulation: Water Soluble powder.
Uses : Zinc supplement.
General Application Rate : 500 grams in 100 Litres of water per 100m.
