Targert Irrigation Mix:
ONE50, Matrix and Samson Perennial Ryegrasses Will, Tribute and Prestige White Clovers (Coated and Gaucho®) Sowing Rate 25kg/ha Our premier blend that is a proven performer in the major irrigation regions of the Goulburn Valley, Southern NSW, and McCallister Irrigation district of East Gippsland.
A late maturing blend that is suited to both flood and spray irrigation, and is renowned for its high feed quality over summer and strong winter growth. The Smyth Seeds ‘Triple Mix’ of white clovers offers full season production, heat tolerance and good persistence from high stolon density.
TARGET Premium AR1 Mix:
Revolution and Samson AR1 Perennial Ryegrasses Will, Tribute and Prestige White Clovers (Coated and Gaucho®) Sowing Rate 25kg/ha Where late season maturity and growth is required with the AR1 endophyte, this combination of ryegrasses will suit both irrigation and high rainfall environments. The Smyth Seeds ‘triple mix’ of white clovers provides persistence, high stolen & leaf density, and strong growth during the four seasons.
TARGET HR Mix:
Matrix and Samson Perennial Ryegrasses Horizon Long Rotation Ryegrass Will, Tribute and Prestige White Clovers (Coated and Gaucho®) Sowing Rate 25kg/ha Blended for the higher rainfall districts of North East Victoria, Gippsland and Western Districts. Both the grasses and the Smyth Seeds ‘triple mix’ of clovers are blended in proportions that enable the maximum density in the sward.
TARGET Fescue Mix:
Advance Tall Fescue Will, Tribute and Prestige White Clovers (Coated and Gaucho®) Sowing Rate 30kg/ha A heat tolerant, summer active blend that offers good palatability combined with high growth rates under summer irrigation. Also suited to high rainfall environments (700mm+). The white clovers thrive in the open growth habit of tall fescue, contributing value feed quality and production.
TARGET Oversow Mix:
Matrix and Samson Perennial Ryegrasses Crusader Italian Ryegrass Sowing Rate 15kg/ha Target Oversow Mix is specifically designed for use on irrigated or high rainfall perennial pastures. It is a blend of high quality perennial and Italian ryegrasses that can be used to rejuvenate pastures that have thinned out due to overgrazing or drought.
TARGET Dairy HP Mix:
ONE50 Perennial Ryegrass Horizon Long Rotation Ryegrass Will White Clover (Coated and Gaucho®) Tonic Plantain (Gaucho® Treated) Grouse Chicory (Gaucho® Treated) Sowing Rate 30kg/ha This mix will perform extremely well in highly fertile, well-drained situations.
It is suited to both irrigation and high rainfall regions. The inclusion of herbs means the paddock needs to be free of broadleaf weeds before establishment. The resulting pasture will be highly palatable to all stock, increasing intake and therefore production.
TARGET Valleys 650 Plus Mix:
Bolton and Kingston Perennial Ryegrasses Horizon Long Rotation Ryegrass Kara Cocksfoot Riverina/Trikkala and Goulburn Sub Clover (Coated and Fungicide) Prestige White Clover (Coated and Gaucho®) Sowing Rate 25kg/ha Suited to the fertile valleys and foothills in Victoria and southern NSW. The sub clovers ensure persistence and good winter growth.
The cocksfoot is summer active and provides growth when other grasses won’t. The ryegrasses and white clover will provide excellent growth in valleys where rainfall is more reliable and soil more fertile.
TARGET Sheep/Beef Mix:
Holdfast/Landmaster Phalaris and Australian/Uneta Phalaris Porto/Kara Cocksfoot Riverina/Trikkala and Goulburn Sub Clover (Coated and Fungicide) Sowing Rate 15kg/ha A highly persistent mix that when established successfully can result in a productive pasture for many years.
Good weed control and reasonable fertility are required prior to sowing. This mix will suit most areas with low valleys and foothills, with a minimum rainfall of 550mm+. Perennial Ryegrass can be added by direct drilling one season after establishment.
